Coach factory sale July 31, 2013

On sale now! The July 31st event started just a few hours ago. Please be reminded that this is a members only online sale, check your emails if you've previously been invited to their past online sale, chances are you'll get an invite again.

What I like about the recent sales they've been having is that the tech department has improved alot, though coach seems to favor only apple products, for now at least. More hard cases, crossbody/laptop bags, sleeves and multifunction pouches are available for iPads, iPad minis, iPhone5, E-readers and Laptops. I myself  bought several items during their July 23, 2013 event. Will post my great finds later. In the meantime, you go have a happy shopping!

LUVVITT® CRISTAL Hard Shell Anti-Scratch Transparent Case for iPhone 5

I know I already have an iPhone 5 back case which I bought a couple of months back from amazon for only $3.00. Well, let's just say, I got what I paid for. For the price though, I'm not going to complain. It started to form a crack near the camera, but it took 7 months before it got broken. I chose a clear case by LUVVITT for my iPhone5. As I've mentioned in my previous post, it doesn't look like it will provide much protection to my phone IF dropped, but I do have a pouch to fully protect my phones. The LUVVITT case for iPhone 5 retails at $14.95 with free shipping from amazon.com.

LUVVITT® CRISTAL Hard Shell Anti-Scratch Transparent Case for Samsung Galaxy S4

Getting a new mobile phone means you get to have an excuse to buy cases & accessories. I have an excuse, but unlike my Samsung Galaxy S3 GT-i9300, my accessory will only be a clear hard case. I've chosen a CRISTAL Hard Shell Anti-Scratch Transparent Case, by LUVVITT ($12.95 & FREE Shipping on orders over $25). True, it may seem that this particular case will only offer little protection when dropped, but I'm partial to cases which hardly adds bulk to the phone. I ordered it in amazon.com, and should be in the Philippines by end of September. In the meantime, I bought a similar case locally, retailed at P595.00 ($13.84) by metal-slim, and it's only been a month and scratches on the case are obviously hideous and two cracks on the top of the case are starting to get bigger.

Samsung Galaxy S4- My life companion!

So, with the early death of my samsung s3, like a phoenix, it was reborn to a Samsung Galaxy S4.

Honestly, if my S3 didn't get broken, I wouldn't have sold and exchanged it with the S4, at least not this soon. But now that I think about it, I'm kind of glad I did, I was so frustrated with the battery life of the S3, a full charge won't last half a day that I had to buy a spare battery. The spare battery helped some, but what I hate the most is waking up to a dead phone. That's exactly what I wake up to in the morning. It's also quite annoying to go through the trouble of removing the battery and replacing it with the spare at least once a day.

With the galaxy S4's battery packed with more juice at 2600 mAh, it lasts one full day with 3g and wifi on, moderate calls, texts, and mobile surfing. I get to wake up to at least 20% battery left, without having the need for a spare battery.

I was also surprised at how light and oddly comfortable it felt in my hand, considering I'm a midget with small hands. Comparing it to the s3's contoured, more rounded exterior, which without a case, felt like butter that can easily slip from my grip, the S4's less rounded shape felt more secure to the hand.

The screen on the S4 is bigger, though after you get used to it, you hardly notice the difference from the latter.

This is actually a late post as I got my samsung s4 on July 2, 2013. It's been with me for a month, and I've had minor problems with it, which I will discuss a little later on.

The death of my Samsung S3

It's been five long months since my last entry, and since then I haven't bought or seen anything online that is worth writing about, that, or I must admit, I got too busy with work. Sadly, this entry is neither funny nor exciting,  but it certainly proved that an "accidental" drop test proved that the gorilla glass display of Samsung s3 is perhaps scratch proof as it claims to be.

I had to say goodbye to my beloved Samsung s3 before my goal of letting it go AFTER one year, it fell three months short come this August. It sadly decided that it no longer wants to be with me, and just jumped out three feet from my lap, resulting to its early demise. Cracked camera lens cover (not the lens itself) is the main reason why I had to sell it.  No damage to the phone screen, nor the phone itself, not even a nick to the outside cover, camera functioning well, and the cracked camera lens cover didn't seem to affect the outcome of the photos taken. Eitherway, I had to have it repaired first, then sell to the highest bidder in an online community, but due to not having enough time to "meet-up" with complete strangers, I went straight to greenhills (where all the buying and selling of anything techy happens) after I had it repaired. In total, I salvaged about $300 from the Samsung s3 unit with box and accessories, including the dock the spare battery, not a bad deal considering I only paid $20 to have the lens cover replaced. Below is a picture of my Samsung S3 with all the accessories before I sold it.
